FAQ
- I have inherited
some vintage linens, where can I get an idea of
their value?
We do not do appraisals, as most evaluations
require hands on experience. If there is a museum
with a textile section in your area, contact them
to find out if there is an appraiser near you that
can help. A textile conservator can also be of help
if they know of one. Another good place to ask is
an antique or quilt shop. Usually these shops often
know textile experts and can help point you in the
right direction.
- Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping rates are determined during the checkout
process. Rates are calculated based on your country
of origin.
- Where do your linens
come from?
Most of our items come from eastern Pennsylvania
(PA Dutch country) estate sales, antique malls,
flea markets, antique shows, and really, just about
anywhere. You never know when or where that special
item will be found. All of our items are vintage,
and NOT a modern reproduction.
- Do you have a store
(other than on-line)?
No, we only sell online.
- Are all of your
items old?
All of our items are vintage, and NOT
a modern reproduction. While it is sometimes impossible
to determine the exact age of a piece, we always
try to give you an accurate description of the condition
of each item. When an item is described as "Perfect",
"Mint", or "Near Perfect" condition, it means that
to the best of my knowledge it is spotless and without
repairs or obvious flaws. It does not necessarily
mean the item has never been used or washed. If
I believe an item in is new condition and has never
been used or washed, that information will be included
in the items' description.
- Can I get a refund
if I am not satisfied?
We hope that won't happen of course. We
do our utmost to describe our pieces accurately.
We take pride in our items and in our service, and
will do what we can to ensure you are fully satisfied
with your purchases. If you would like to return
an item that you ordered from us, please, feel free
to contact us to let us know.
- Will you put an
item "on hold" for me?
Past experience has dictated our answer
to this question. No. We do not and will not put
items on hold. Since we do not accept checks, money
orders, or any other type of mail-in payment, there
is no need to put items on hold. We have tried this
method in the past, with little to no success.
