c1920 Silk Pongee Laundry Bag w Double Sided Embroidery
Dating around the 1920's is this vintage drawstring laundry bag for hand washables. The fabric is silk pongee, and the color is more of a "tea stain" shade of tan. Embellished with red double sided embroidery on the front corners. Measuring 22 inches wide and 19 inches long. One side is opened 7 inches from the top, and the other side is open 11 inches. Used mostly when traveling. But, also at home, hung on your closet door knob. Pre-owned and used. There are some small holes, and some missing red embroidery threads, visible in some of the pictures. Even so, this is a very attractive textile, and still functional.
