Vintage Pair Pillowcases Madeira Hand Embroidery Basket Design

Matching pair of white vintage pillowcases from Madeira, Portugal with their signature periwinkle blue hand embroidery. Edges are scalloped, cutwork is all intact, and the stitches are padded. Pure cotton, measure 36 inches long and 20½ inches wide ~ perfect for king, queen, or standard pillows. These have been packed away since the late 1950's and are in perfectly crisp, clean condition, showing no signs of use whatsoever.
